The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss

I want to talk tonight about weight loss. It’s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don’t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven’t met a person yet that’s hasn’t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don’t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some good one’s, Atkins, The Zone), they put them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on average. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss?

So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That’s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That’s the only way it’s going to work.

    (1) Eat three sensible meals a day; preferely turkey salads, turkey sandwich, home-made vegetable soups,

    (2) Always… stay somewhat hungry after a meal, DO NOT FILL YOUR STOMACH.

    (3) Between meals: Very moderated amounts of fruit.

    (5) Exercise everyday for about 20-30 minutes, aside from your everyday routine (work, school, etc.). I do jumping jax, and I time myself for a total of 2-min. 10 times a day.

  17. ChinkyBlondee says:

    CAN I BE YOU. …
CAN I BE YOU. Please. Bahaha my body type is muscley so if I work out I look muscular which is BAD for my particular job. I have to try so hard to get the stick figure look! So dude, eat fast food and lots of bread, eat a lot of cereal and peanut butter, lots of saturated fats like butter and cheesecake, eat steak and add saturated fat to it like dressing, you can still workout but I’d keep it to strength training, cardio burns calories without the muscle.

  18. ChinkyBlondee says:

    You know what you …
You know what you do. Vegetable diet. Water and vegetables as much as you want whenever you want. AMAZING. I have never lost more weight in my life I went to a size 2 to a small 0 and big 00 :) ..I’m 5’8 This might sound really odd skinny for you but I’m into modeling so if I don’t always have a perfect body, I don’t get paid. And when you do start back eating semi-regular it doesn’t all come back!!:))

This is so true, example I eat a cup of oatmeal, slice of wheat bread and a glass of milk but not everyday. 1 hour after eating breakfast I do a 40 min cardio. When I clean my house I run and squat. Counting calories I don’t do so much but I do eat right then I eat protein before my strength training also I sleep for 8 hours and drink 8 glasses of water also. Basically I lost 30 pounds in 3 1/2 months.. I was told that I will have the extra skin due to having twins is this true?
