My weight is 70 kgs and i’m 175 cm. How much weight should i lose to become thin like a model or Hollywood actress. I want to be thin, not very thin but thin and fit and look good. The only sport i do are Swimming & badminton. I want to weigh about 50 to 55 kgs and what all should i eat? What should be my daily routine? Please help. Thank you.

Let me start by saying swimming and badminton are both Excellent choices for exercise. To begin the weight loss process and to make it go quickly, I suggest looking into a program. If your looking for more exercise I recommend Body of FIRE highly because it will make you skinny fast, but it is hard. For the BEST results I recommend cooking with certain foods that burn fat really well like celery, certain spices, etc (its known as metabolic cooking).

I suggest you stay swimming and playing sports and do some metabolic cooking and you will lose weight very quickly, I promise. Go to the source website and you can find a LOT of great information there and I’m sure you will find something good that you like. You will lose weight really fast with some of those things.

I know that I will talk about the causes of obesity and the diseases that it causes, but what else could I talk about that will flow with the other topics. I was thinking about talking about how it affects the nation financially, but that seems too far off topic.

All you need to do is answer the question that has everyone mystified and that is: Why does the US lead the developed world in fat when we have the best gyms, spas, health foods stores, super markets, fitness equipments, etc.? That’s a tough question to answer as it has many answers and the most obvious one is: Education.

If good health is just about the most important thing we can have in this life, why do we not spend the most time on that subject in public eduction? Why are our priorities so screwed up?

Good luck and good health!!

I don’t know even one person who wants to be without health insurance. The doctors and the hospitals do use collection agencies to collect their money. So there is no need whatsoever to force anyone to buy it.

The only reason I can see as to why anyone would want me to buy health insurance is because they want to give free health care to illegal aliens. I see no other reason. Oh and those other people on welfare.

People on welfare already qualify for free health care. Illegals can already go to hospitals and skip on the bills, and do so daily. It’s about control. The more control government has over the populace, the more those in government know they can get by with. As long as people *think* they’re getting some benefit from government (whether they are or not), they know that people will continue to sit back and permit our Constitution to be trampled. It’s all a giant shell game to keep our eyes off what’s going on quietly behind the scenes.

Edit – I call BS on anyone who says requiring everyone to have insurance is going to get everyone covered and save the health care system. These people obviously don’t understand how the health care system and insurance work. Traditional full coverage insurance is a huge part of the problem in health care today. When people can go to the doctor for every minor complaint they come across and only pay a minimal copay, they tend to overuse the system… thus increasing demand and cost. People are totally out of touch with the cost of health care when they aren’t paying out of pocket a the time of service. Higher deductible major medical plans that cover preventative medicine at 100% are the way to go to reduce the cost of insurance. They’re ultimately less costly for the consumer, and the consumer has a vested interest in understanding what they’re being asked to pay for before consenting to unnecessary procedures or tests. They also think twice before going to the doctor over trivial ailments. I’ve been on this type plan for 3 years and have literally saved thousands of dollars. There’s also the fact that laws governing health insurance live at state level. This prohibits insurers from offering individual plans across state lines, thus leading to smaller pools of people in plans. This, too, drives up cost. Insuring everyone won’t fix a thing. It will just drive the cost higher, leading to people who can’t afford it even when it’s mandatory. The root problem in health care (cost) has not been addressed with this legislation. Don’t believe me? Give it 10 years. Fewer people will be able to afford health care than can now.

Many people hate Michelle Obama’s food vision for this country but health is the most important aspect of our existence. If we had a certification process for every bit of food and drink like they do for organic food, we wood have a scientifically observable basis on which to manage health.

Can you see any drawbacks?

" health is the most important aspect of our existence."

Actually, I think it’s freedom but that’s just my opinion. Keep the government out of my life and my kitchen.

My son hasn’t been born yet, but I want to start looking into health insurance for him. I really don’t know much about health insurance.. What is the best health insurance for a child?
That’s a really unhelpful answer. I don’t have a problem being able to afford insurance. I want the best coverage for my child. I don’t know where to look though.

The one you can afford. Star with yours first.

Pretty much in the title of the question. Self improvement is good, but shouldn’t we also be happy in ourselves?
Thankyou for the answers, but I am not so much talking about superficial changes. More along the lines of trying to be more social or outgoing, being more empathetic of others, etc.

I think about it this way – We aren’t ourselves as we are made up of introjected values from others from childhood when we were not capable of thinking for ourselves so the self improvement comes from an examination of what we are and what we are not and is more a process of weeding what we are not than adding – experience and the consequent learning from it at a time when we have our own morality and understanding of self and others shapes us further – Absolutely it is the aim to happy in and with ourselves but first we have to pare away what is not our selves- & this would tend to be a life long process. I am old and I still find prejudiced thoughts running through my head that are from a family long dead as if they were my own and although its easier to laugh at them they still exist and give me a jolt. But at least I catch them and annul them and so I think its a process of beocming who you are – There is a good book by alan watts ‘the taboo against knowing who you are’

I’ve been treated for haemorrhoids on the NHS before and now I have private health insurance from bupa but they say pre-existing health problems aren’t covered. Would they be able to find out about previous treatments on the NHS? I thought that was confidential!

When you apply for health insurance coverage, you give them authorization to pull your medical records. Therefore, they can get details on any medical treatment you’ve gotten in the last 10 years.

Exercising about 40 minutes a day.

Hi there,

I was in the same boat as you a year back.
I struggled with losing weight and I was ready to give up! I’m here to
tell you that you should never give up, there is still hope!

A website that helped me lose weight fast is http://www.howtoburnfatnow.org and
they really helped me understand that the key to really losing those last
pounds are switching up your diet COMPLETELY! Actually eating MORE on certain days, instead of less.

Don’t give up:

I do need to start up again to lose the 20 more lbs.
