premiums? I believe we may be eligible to continue our current coverages with Kaiser when my spouse retires, but the premium will be $1200 monthly. What can we do to get affordable health care? We both have preexisting conditions, and although we are healthy, it makes health care almost out of our reach, when we both have conditions which require several visits to health care providers annually.

Kaiser Senior Advantage begins at age 65. It around $100 a month plus your Part B Medicare monthly premiums. If you retire before age 65 you would have an individual plan. I suggest contacting an insurance agent and finding out what insurance and what plans are available in your state.

I am a member of a gym and I work out regularly, and I do eat healthy. But I feel like I’m not losing weight very fast. I know it takes time to see results, but I want to know if dieting pills (like quick trim or something over the counter like that) will help me lose weight faster? And if so, what brands would you recommend?

Thank you!

Excess weight or obesity is by far the number one health concern in this country.
Sixty percent of Americans are either overweight or obese, including over 20 percent of teenagers.
All are at risk for serious physical and emotional health problems. How do you think about my tips

1. Are health costs lower for people who maintain high levels of functional health?

2. are guidelines that can help you avoid crime or threatening situations to let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return?

3. Is hypertension considered to be the #1 risk increasing the likelihood of strokes?

4. Is jogging 30 minutes an example of cardiovascular or aerobic activity?

Yes hypertension may lead to strokes.Jogging is one of the good cardiovascular exercise.

I know you should drink water no matter if your dieting or not. Because water helps: hydrate, get rid of pollutants and breakdown fat cells. But how much should I be drinking a day? Someone said you should be drinking half your body weight. Is that true and does it matter if you add something like crystal light to it?

Six to eight- 8 ounce glasses of liquids daily is recommend whether trying to lose weight or not. Any liquid, other than alcohol will work, but water is best. If you drank half of your body weigh, it would probably kill you.

I want to know what is the relationship between obesity and diabetes, and are some of these reports myths based upon discrimination?

for sure the reports are myths based on discrimination. As a skinny person, never even fluffy let alone obese, I object to the myth that type 2 diabetics need to lose weight, do more exercise and all that c***!
The only tie obesity has to diabetes is the one the rest of the population has to diabetes!! Some people will get diabetes and most will not! Less than 50% of obese people are diabetic. Less than 50% of the rest of the population are diabetic.

Risks of obesity is discrimination and disgust by the skinny normal people! They should not have this attitude, but they do. 50% of the obese people have another endocrine problelm such as hypothyroid. 50% of the skinny population has an endocrine problem such as hyperthyroid.

Risks of being overweight is muscular problems, mostly the inability of the legs and feet to work properly; heart disease; lung diseases, circulation problems etc.

hi sometimes I want to read online from my cell a good reading but I’ve run out of ideas. I like books that will help me be a better person. Books that show me how to be wise, like being a better wife, how to deal with difficult people, or depression, or how to be smarter and using my brain more…anything to help me be better. So please if you know a good book online of self improvement, let me know! Thank you so much.

Hi Isis Redrose,

I would like to recommend a comprehensive resource; Meditation, self control…

I recommend to take the course named "Silva UltraMind ESP Seminar". It has been around for more than 40 years and referred to as "Silva mind control". It is a method of Dynamic Meditation, that will help you feel better, healthier and with peace of mind. it will guide you to develop your God given senses to improve conditions (internal and external), project solutions, experience abundance in evey area of your life, take the right decisions and enjoy a happier life.

I invite you to visit my blog and read my recent experience and then you may click on the link to reach the author’s site.

Im not talking about eating disorders , just the obsession with dieting, calories, exercising and food..
What causes it ?

Everybody wants to look good. And, eating is something you do everyday.

Some people want to be healthier. Some people want to look perfect, and dieting and exercising help a person to get toned. It helps you avoid injury by being in shape, you’re healthier and feel better.

Looking at magazines, pictures of people at their ideal weight, people worry about what other people think about themselves and try to look more ideal.

Many teachers delay retirement due to the high cost of health care. We give 30, 35, or more years to the education of our children and then have to worry about if we can afford health care. We need help!

Raise your neighbor’s real estate taxes.

and dramatically changed your life around?
Or have any self improvement books ever motivated you to greater things? (and if so, what books)
Has any event in your life spurred you on to build a better life for yourself?
TIA guys…

Yes. When I was 21 or so I realized my university friends were making a lot of progress in general knowledge so I set out to give myself a college education in those subjects that didn’t need clinicals.
I taught myself ancient, medieval and modern history, world history, English and world literature including writing my own poems and stories, traveled overland to India from Europe just for the experience, and more. I taught myself musical appreciation by taking piano lessons, geology, anthropology, psychology, and went to school for a nursing degree. This was also inspired by Aristotle’s dictum that self-improvement is a moral duty.
