A lot of people blame the fast foods like Mcdonalds, Burger King, Dairy Queen. What’s your view on the obesity level?

As Americans we all grow up eating fast food. But we’re not ALL fat!
Americans love the "all you can eat" mentality, which is why we invented the buffet. Some of us take this to the extreme. Fast food tastes alright, and it’s cheap…So, it’s easy to buy more than you should actually eat.
It’s our choices that lead to obesity. We can’t blame fast food vendors for selling the food that WE choose to eat.

Individuals need to take their own propensity for stuffing their faces to task for their obesity.

Everyone knows that fast food is not good for you. Eating too much of anything is not good for you. Not exercising regularly is not good for you. Eating junk food is not good for you. Soda is not good for you. Beer is not good for you.

People are to blame for their own obesity.

Not the food’s fault. The food doesn’t jump into your mouth.

i answered a similar question like this earlier. its not a fast food places responsibilty for the choices of what you eat. almost all fast food resturants has salads/fruit plates. FAST FOOD PLACES ARE NOT FORCING ANYONE TO EAT THEIR FOOD. Everyone as a person is responsible for their eating choices not fast food places.!

Too many people blame others instead of themselves. It is not a fast food company’s fault that people are fat. People don’t take the time to exercise and just decide to sit in front of the TV or computer. I have worked at Mc Donald’s for over a year and I eat the food all the time, and have still managed to lost 10 pounds.

It is not the fast food companies like McDonalds or Burger King, that are making people in the us and other countries obese it is how much of it people consume. Like if some one eats fast food for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday of the week then yes they will become obese but if some one only eats fast food once or twice or three times a week then they might not become obese but it depends on the persons body there matabolism and how much they exercise….But It is not the fast food companies because they have alternatives for alot of the fatier foods on their menu’s.

I believe that fast food restaurants are a great temptation to overeat which increases a person’s risk of obesity. However, they are not to blame. We live in a free society and fast food restaurants only exist becuase there is a demand (a large one at that!!) for them. If they were to somehow just go away, many people would be upset, but many would probably find similar substitutes that are just as bad. Ultimately, unless someone force-feeds or starves you, you are responsible for your own weight. I’m overweight, but I don’t say it’s the fault of fast-food restaurants, or my parents. It’s my fault because I made the choices about what and how much I ate. (Which, btw, I’m trying to change!!)

I have never had a burger or fries chase me down the street and force me to eat them.

I have never been forced to order a burger and fries instead of a salad.

I have never been in a town that didn’t have any food available other than fattening fried fast food.

So, my answer is NO, it’s not the fault of fast food that people choose to eat the unhealthy stuff.

People who eat a lot of fast food are obese, but I don’t think its the fault of the fast food company, what to put in your mouth is always a matter of choice. and Lack of exercise also plays into the obesity epidemic and we can’t blame fast food for that
