I’m a 14 going on 15 year old girl trying to lose weight but instead of losing weight I’m gaining a whole lot of weight (About 120 lbs)! So I’m searching high and low to find the quickest way to lose weight so please help me!

the reason you are gaining weight is because you are trying to lose weight to quickly. You are young so 120 is very healthy. To lose some weight (not that you need to at all) you should be sleeping 9 hours a night, not eating unhealthy foods, get some exercise.

I’m trying to lose about 10 pounds and tone up a bit. Im a freshman in university and like to have a good time like any other uni student i occasionally drink a bit with friends. I know that if you are trying to lose weight you should really cut out alcohol of your diet but i don’t want to have to miss out on anything because of wanting to lose weight. So i was just wondering what would be the best way to go about losing weight without cutting alcohol out completely. Whats the least fattening alcohol?
Muscle weighs more than fat, so it’s OK to build muscle while losing fat. Don’t be afraid of making muscle.
Eat healthy – don’t cut the calories too much, but do eat a smaller amount. Eat fruits and veggies, lean meats, and whole grains (100% whole wheat bread instead of white, brown rice, etc.)
Drink water – cut out the soda/pop. Try to get 8 cups (measuring cups – 8 ounces) of water each day.
Couple a healthy diet with cardio workouts – 3-5 days a week, 20-30 minutes per session to start. You can walk, jog, bike, play basketball, do aerobics… whatever you enjoy doing that gets your heart rate up. You don’t have to work out so hard that you feel like you’re dying – work out to the point that you can talk fairly easily, but not jabber on and on.
Do strength exercises to build muscle (yep, I’m suggesting this). Building muscle helps you lose fat even faster by speeding up your metabolism. Sit ups, push ups, squats, lunges… all these will help. Do these only every other day – don’t strength train the same muscles two days in a row.

As you lose weight the stretch marks will go away naturally. Unless you have your weight surgically removed in which case I don’t think the marks will go away. Do it the natural old way and lose it steadily with exercise and healthy diet and its possible. Any workouts work for getting rid of weight, maybe cardio would help.
And then for the six pack do chest exercises / weight lifting..
Every time I exercise I gain muscle weight but I want to lose 10 lbs. I’m running a 5k in a month and I need to start running to prepare. I exercise now almost every day and do sit ups to and abs slide to flatten my stomach. Normally I use the gazelle or I ride my bike for exercise. How do I lose weight rather than gain? More importantly is are you losing inches? Muscle weighs more then fat so you could be more slender and look fitter even if your weight has not changed or gone up slightly. Also losing weight is decreasing calories and increasing exercise, If you have not changed your eating habits an increase in exercise will not lower your weight in the way that you want.

I am relatively thick. Decent size butt hips thighs very shapely. I want to make maintain my waistline and possibly make it smaller but when i lose weight I tend to lose it all over. How can I lose the weight on top and keep the weight below and possibly add more below with out my top half getting big as well?

This is especially true for those who sit and punch away at the keyboard or toy with the mouse all day long. So if you have such a job, make it a point to get up at least every half an hour and stretch your self.
I’m 14 years old 5’1” and 145 pounds. I’m trying to find ways to lose weight being a vegetarian. Almost everything I look at ( what your supposed to eat, recipes etc.) says to eat meat/fish at least once a day for protein to help you lose weight.
